From Indonesia To The world
About Us
At Maleo Trade, we operate as a dedicated trading partner connecting international buyers with trusted seafood suppliers across Indonesia. We do not own factories, instead we work closely with a network of HACCP-certified processors to ensure every product meets export standards and market requirements.
Our role is simple but critical: we bridge the gap between demand and supply. From sourcing to coordination, we help buyers access consistent seafood supply with clear communication and reliable documentation, including Health Certificates issued by the Indonesian Fisheries Authority.
Indonesia’s vast coastline gives us a natural advantage, allowing us to support year-round sourcing across multiple species. Whether for retail, food service, or processing needs, we focus on building long-term partnerships, not just closing transactions.
At the core, we believe trade is built on trust. That’s why our service is transparent, responsive, and structured to make the process easier on the buyer’s side — with no commission fees charged to buyers

Why Seafood from Indonesia?
Indonesia is one of the world’s largest seafood producers, ranked as the second-largest globally, supported by vast marine resources and thousands of islands.
With over 8,500 fish species, Indonesia offers one of the most diverse seafood supplies in the world, ensuring product variety and year-round availability.
The country’s fisheries sector produces millions of tons annually, including more than 472,000 tons of skipjack tuna alone, highlighting its strong supply capacity for global markets.
Indonesia’s seafood export industry is also well established, generating around USD 5–6 billion per year, with continued growth driven by global demand.
Strategically located near major Asian markets, Indonesia enables faster delivery times and competitive logistics, while serving key destinations such as the United States, Japan, China, and the European Union.

Indonesia has clean, warm tropical waters that help fish grow naturally with good texture and taste. The country is located in one of the richest marine areas in the world, which means seafood is diverse and available all year round.
Fishing areas are spread across many islands, so supply is more stable and not dependent on one location. This also helps maintain better water conditions and healthier fish.
With proper handling and freezing processes, the freshness of the seafood is preserved from the moment it is caught until it reaches international markets.
🇮🇩 Coastline: ± 95,000 km (one of the longest in the world)
🏝️ Islands: 17,000+ islands → fishing spread across many regions
🌊 Location: Tropical waters → no winter season
🐟 Production: ± 7–8 million tons/year (capture fisheries)
🔄 Supply Pattern: Available all year round (non-seasonal dependency)
